Cliffs of Moher Hotel Liscannor

This hotel is the closest hotel to the Cliffs, being just a few minute’s drive from the Cliffs. The hotel is located in Liscannor County Clare. The building was constructed in 2006 and offers really nice rooms. The hotel has 23 rooms in total. Liscannor is a beautiful little coastal village.

The views of Liscannor are fabulous. There is free parking on site. There is a Bloody Cranesbill Gastrobar on site, with a really good food menu and live traditional music sessions in the Bar. There are a few different room options available, some with a balcony view. There are a number of lively Irish pubs close by, and Lahinch is just a few minutes away, where there is a wonderful beach and lots of activities locally.

Sea Haven Bed and Breakfast Liscannor

This nice little bed and breakfast is in a great location, right next to the Cliffs and Lahinch. The B&B is located in Liscannor will a superb view of the Atlantic Ocean and the coast of County Clare.

The B&b offers great value for money, the rooms are spacious, offering flat-screen televisions, tea and coffee-making facilities and Orthopaedic beds. All the rooms in the sea Haven are en suite which is very handy. The view from the B&B is as good as you will get. The B&b offers a great Irish breakfast during your stay.

The Shamrock Inn Hotel Lahinch

The Shamrock Inn hotel is a 3-star hotel located in the centre of Lahinch. The location is excellent, being a 2-minute walk from one of Ireland’s most beautiful beaches, the waves at Lahinch beach attract a lot of surfers to the area who love the large waves.

There is free Wi-Fi and a warm intimate restaurant. It’s the perfect place to try some Irish seafood, or maybe a craft beer after a long day sightseeing. There is a really tasty breakfast menu. Lahinch golf course is within walking distance of the hotel. Lots of Irish pubs are within walking distance of the hotel.

Lahinch Surf Hostel Lahinch

This hostel is in the centre of Lahinch. The dorm offers are really good value. The hostel has 55 beds and modern facilities. This hostel’s location is special overlooking Lahinch beach, close to the Cliffs of Moher and Liscannor. It’s an ideal spot for people travelling on a small budget. Breakfast is included cereals, toast, jams and tea and coffee.

There are hot showers available and a full kitchen area to cook your meals. The hostel can also cater for large groups like hen or stag parties or sports groups.

Vaughan Lodge Hotel Lahinch

This hotel is just outside Lahinch, 2 minutes only. There are luxury rooms on offer and lots of really good food. The hotel has a reputation for great food. Free Wi-Fi is on offer and free parking. Chocolate and cookies are available. There are a few different types of room types, King size, Queen size and normal double.

There is one superior room with a balcony available. You will get a great breakfast at Vaughan Lodge Hotel, the full Irish which is world-famous. The location is excellent, perfect for golfers or just some sightseeing. It’s about 10 minute’s drive from the Cliffs of Moher.

The Atlantic Hotel Lahinch

This hotel is located in the main area of Lahinch within minutes of the beach and all amenities. The rooms have televisions and cable tv, and a telephone. The hotel is ideally located for exploring the Burren area and the Cliffs. It’s also a great option for golfers being a few minute’s walk to Lahinch Golf Club.

The restaurant is the perfect spot to chill out after an exciting day in the Burren. The restaurant has a nice menu with a lot of tasty meals from Fish and chips to traditional Irish Lamb stew.

Hotel Doolin, Doolin

Hotel Doolin is located in the beautiful Doolin County Clare. A large number of tour buses and coaches stop here for the food. The rooms are bright and modern. The location is excellent being just a few minutes to downtown Doolin, and a short drive to the Ferry port to the Aran Islands.

There is a really nice bar on site, serving great Guinness and craft beers. The food is excellent, and the menu has something for everyone. The hotel also caters for weddings. The Doolin Folk Festival is held in the barn at the rear of the hotel every year. It’s one of Clare’s great places to stay.

The Doolin Inn, Doolin

The Doolin Inn has 22 rooms, it’s located in a really central location being in the heart of Doolin, just a short drive from the Cliffs. It’s around 7.5 kilometres from the cliffs. The rooms have free Wi-Fi, a seating area and a flat-screen TV with Netflix. The rooms have safes built-in and private bathrooms.


The Doolin Inn has a variety of rooms on offer, suitable for families and small groups. They have a delicious breakfast menu, and the cafe has hot drinks, Irish scones and pastries. The Inn is very close to Gus O Connors Pub which has great traditional music sessions and really good Irish pub meals. The Inn has won a number of awards most recently from Failte Ireland.

Rainbow Hostel and Camping Doolin

This hostel is perfect if you travelling on a low budget. The location is great being within walking distance of a few great Irish pubs, with traditional Irish music. There are also lots of things to do in Doolin, from lovely walks to food trails. The hostel is closely located at the Aran Island Ferry port, which is just a 5-minute drive from the hostel.

The hostel has 30 beds in total. There is a self-catering kitchen and a cosy feel to the hostel. The price included free Wi-Fi and free breakfast. This hostel also has a camping area, it has lots of good reviews on Trip Advisor.

Ballinalacken Castle County House Hotel Doolin

This hotel has a lot of history attached to it. It is located just outside the main area of Doolin, on the Clare county side. There is an old castle that dates back to the 10th century on the grounds. There are superb views, and if you want a four-poster bed, that’s available.

The hotel has a fine dining experience with many local producers supplying good Irish food. There is a cool little pub with a piano for some Irish music sessions. Ballinalacken Castle hotel is about 15 minutes drive to the Cliffs of Moher, close to Doolin cave and about 8 minutes to Gus O Connors pub in the centre of Doolin.

Gregans Castle Hotel Ballyvaughan

This castle hotel dates back to the 15th century and was originally a tower house, the building is Georgian style manor design. Gregan’s castle hotel is in Ballyvaughan valley, it is a truly unique area surrounded by flora from the Burren region. The area has lots of old stone forts, and ancient burial tombs, you will also experience the lunar landscape of the Burren which is amazing.

The hotel boasts 21 rooms, decorated to a very high standard with a modern feel. The breakfast menu features Eggs Benedict and Pancakes with organic apple syrup with the option of bacon on top. The dinner menu offers BBQ Irish beef with white garlic and bordelaise sauce and king oyster mushroom sauce. It’s a top-class hotel.

Hylands Burren Hotel Ballyvaughan

This charming 3-star is in the harbour village of Ballyvaughan. The hotel has been recently refurbished to a high standard. The building has 32 en suite rooms and a lovely Irish pub on the ground floor. The rooms feature smart TVs, a hairdryer and free toiletries.

There is free car parking and Wi-Fi included. The breakfast menu includes a full Irish breakfast. There are cheese and meat boards available also to enjoy with a pint of Guinness. The location of the hotel s perfect for exploring the Burren and visiting the cliffs. This hotel is just a five-minute drive to Aillwee cave.

Cappabhaile House B&B Ballyvaughan

This B&B is in a fabulous location with beautiful views of the Burren. Cappabhaile has a few different room types and caters for families with large family rooms. Their rooms are better than most hotels and are spacious.

The rooms are en suite and have flat-screen TVs. There are hair dryers and free Wi-Fi. The breakfast is very good, offering, a full Irish breakfast, omelettes, fruit platters and cheese platters. The location of Cappabhaile is close to and Poulnabourne Dolmen the Burren college of art and design.

Self Catering Thatched Irish Cottages Ballyvaughan

These authentic Thatched Irish cottages are great if you are looking for self-catering accommodation. The cottages are located in Ballyvaughan overlooking the Harbour with the Burren landscape in the background. The location is just beautiful. The cottages were recently refurnished and a new thatched roof was put on.

There are a number of cottages to choose from. Some of the cottages can sleep up to 8 people. If you want to stay in a Thatched Irish Cottage, these cottages are in one of Ireland’s most beautiful locations while tons of things to do close by.

Corofin Camping and Hostel Corofin

This retro little hostel and campsite is a family-run business, it offers a bit of bang for your buck. The hostel offers a common room and games room. Free Wi-Fi and central heating and hot showers are included.

There is a free bus service to walking trail areas in the Burren. It’s a perfect spot for fishing, there are 7 fishing lakes close by. A fully equipped kitchen is on-site, and with camping facilities too and caravan parking sites, this place has it all. The location is very good being close to the town of Ennis and 40 minutes drive to the Cliffs.

Imperial Hotel Lisdoonvarna


This 3-star hotel is in the centre of the town of Lisdoonvarna. There are 100 rooms, offering cosy and cute designs. The famous matchmaker bar is located in the Hotel. The room includes cable TV, a bathtub or shower and free Wi-Fi. The location is perfect with a few great Irish pubs close by.

The matchmaker bar on the ground floor is the perfect spot to hear some live music while enjoying a few beers. The food is excellent, the Burren smokehouse is within walking distance of the hotel. West Clare is considered the home of Irish music, you will hear some tunes in Lisdoonvarna. This hotel is just 15 minutes from the Cliffs.

Royal Spa Hotel and Cafe Lisdoonvarna

This nice little hotel is in the centre of Lisdoonvarna, it offers good food, nice rooms and a perfect location 15 minutes from the Cliffs of Moher. The rooms have cable TV, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Cots are available on request. The food menu in this hotel is very good, offering lots of breakfast options, a pizza menu, and also lots of dinner options. There is a really nice Irish pub with a choice of Irish spirits to choose from, as well as some craft beers to choose from.

This hotel is perfect for attending the matchmaker festival in Lisdoonvarna or exploring the Burren and County Clare area. The hotel has a visit from Ireland’s famous President Eamon De Valera in 1950 when he stopped for lunch at the hotel.

Old Ground Hotel Ennis

The town of Ennis is roughly 45 minutes from the cliffs. This location is great for exploring Ennis County Clare. The Old Ground has 4 different types of rooms, from classic rooms to Superior suites. The location is perfect being in the centre of the town of Ennis. The superior rooms offer air conditioning, safes and 16-channel TV. The rooms are modern with very tasteful décor.

There is free parking, and Saint Peter and Saint Paul’s Cathedral is direct across from the Old Ground. The hotel is twinned with the County Clare Irish Inn and Pub in Milwaukee Wisconsin USA. Queens Hotel Ennis

There are 48 rooms in this hotel and a nightclub on-site. There are single, double and twin rooms available. The rooms have en-suite bathrooms, satellite TV and direct dial telephone. The rooms are decorated beautifully.

The Cruise’s bar and restaurant have a fireside live music session. The breakfast menu has a veggie breakfast and avocado and poached eggs. The dinner menu features seafood chowder and pan-roasted salmon with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The location is perfect being a short stroll to all the shops and boutiques in Ennis.

Dromoland Castle Hotel

This 5-star castle hotel is one of Ireland’s best hotels. The castle dates back to 1835, the word Dromoland translates to Hill of Litigation. The design of the castle is spectacular, and the grounds of the hotel are amazing. The castle boasts top-class golf on the grounds and multiple activities to keep you busy.

There is clay shooting, fishing, tennis and falconry all on-site. The golf course is in great shape and is a challenging course to play. This castle is very popular for weddings because of the iconic backdrop of the castle and grounds. The food in the Earl of Thomond has been awarded a Michelin star in 1995. Dromoland is 55 minutes from the Cliffs of Moher. You have to see it to believe it!!
